The Irish House Party was something of a revolt by Irish musicians against the cheesy and the twee. It is traditional Irish music and Irish dancing at its very best, performed by All Ireland champion musicians, dancers and entertaining presenters.  It is consistently voted as one of the top ten things to do in Dublin.

Declan Q.

Business Owner

From Dublin, Ireland, Declan has been immersed in traditional Irish music from an early age with his father playing the button key accordion and his brothers also playing Irish music. He started playing the tin whistle at age 7 and began performing and touring from an early age. Declan has also just recently co wrote the soundtrack for Irish movie ‘Life’s a Breeze’ . While having a great love for traditional Irish music, Declan is always keen to experiment with different musical genres and combine them with Irish music. Indeed Declan is often heard knocking out some pop, rock and dance tunes on his tin whistle! He set up The Irish House Party evening with co owner Gerry Nolan in 2010
