History
Established in 2012.
Opened in 2012, The Bike Institute began as a repair school run by owner Sean, but slowly it began to grow turning into a bike shop supplying top quality bikes and accessories.
Because of our history as cyclists we are always striving to move forward and find ways to improve and promote the bike industry for our customers in Ireland. Because we are Irish owned and operated by bike riders for bike riders, we only sell what we would use, and guarantee ourselves.

Meet the Business Owner
Sean P.
Business Owner
Born in Dublin, Seán has traveled extensively, working as a bicycle mechanic in Barcelona, Sydney and Dublin.
While in Barcelona he worked with Espai Bici, who specialize in Bromptons, Folding Bikes and city bikes. In Sydney he worked with a Giant dealership, and at Bondi Bikes. Both specialize in Mountain Bikes and Road Bikes.
In 2012 Seán attended a Park Tool course in Canterbury, where he completed modules in frame alignment, suspension, disc brakes and internal hubs (to name but a few).
When he’s not tinkering in his workshop, the weekend usually finds Seán hurtling down a mountain trail or two.
