History
Established in 2002.
Dr Helen Walsh BDS DipClinDent, DipConsSed founded the practice in 2002, and was joined by Dr Nick Beirne MA BDentSc DipClinDent in 2004.

Meet the Business Owner
Nick B.
Business Owner
Dr Nick Beirne graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1994. He spent 10 years in the UK as principal dental surgeon of a dental training practice, where he was responsible for training dentists on the Vocational Dental Scheme. Nick joined Portobello Dental Clinic as a partner in 2004.
He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Irish Dental Association and the British Dental Association. He is committed to professional development,, with a minimum of 100 hours of continuing development and post-graduate education every year. He has recently returned from a conference in USA hosted by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is now undertaking a Nobel Biocare course in advanced surgical implant placement.
His interests include cosmetic dentistry and treating the nervous patient.
Nick is also passionate about promoting dental health in underdeveloped countries, and has spent time in Uganda as a dental volunteer in 2006 and 2008.
