Old Jameson Distillery Smithfield

Old Jameson Distillery

Looking for things to do in Dublin? Come and see the Old Jameson Distillery today and experience the spiritual home of Jameson Irish Whiskey.
Located in Smithfield Dublin, and open 7 days a week, the tour experience occupies a section of the old distillery, which kept Dublin flowing with the ‘water of life’ from 1780 to 1971 until the remaining distillers moved to a new and modern distillery in Midelton Co. Cork. This attraction offers the personal touch through guided tours  and whiskey masterclasses , which run every 20minutes. They start with a short film and then, with the aid of models (not the ones you’re hoping for!) and exhibitions, explain everything you ever wanted to know about Jameson Irish whiskey from grain to glass.
All guests receive a comparison whiskey tasting and a signature Jameson Ginger and Lime drink after the tour.
On Saturday nights from May to October, you should experience the Jameson Barrelman’s Feast  –  an evening of great craic, music and entertainment at the Old Jameson Distillery. A contemporary version of an Irish night, with a charachter “Barrelman” actor , superb 3 course Jameson themed dinner and house band “Sine Metu” you will be tapping your feet all the way home!

Established in 1997.

In the heart of historic Smithfield ,  Dublin, the Old Jameson Distillery dates back to 1780 and the visitor centre is housed within the original four walls where John Jameson founded the distillery.
