Micheal Donncha is the new Lord Mayor of Dublin

Sinn Fein councillor Mícheál Mac Donncha was elected as the new Lord Mayor of Dublin, after a vote between Sin Fein, Labour, the Green Party and the independents.He received a total of 35 votes to become the new Lord Mayor.Fianna Fáil candidate Cllr Tom Brabazon received nine votes, while Fine Gael's Paddy McCartan received eight. Cllr Éilis Ryan (Workers Party) representing the Left Technical Group received five.Cllr Mac Donncha said the housing crisis will be his top priority.

Sinn Fein councillor Mícheál Mac Donncha was elected as the new Lord Mayor of Dublin, after a vote between Sin Fein, Labour, the Green Party and the independents.

He received a total of 35 votes to become the new Lord Mayor.
