History

Established in 1834.

Established as a music shop in 1834 producing hand made fiddles, flutes and horns then later transformed into a hybrid of Irish music providing performance space for local musicians as well as a music shop.

Located at 140 Capel Street, which is the oldest shopping street in Dublin the shop front is one of the few original left dating back some 400 years.

Another historical note is the fact that the horn that sounded the infamous “Charge of the Light Brigade” during the Crimean war was constructed in these very rooms.
