The shop was founded in 1979 by Susan Duffy and it has played an active role in supporting the local cycling community ever since.
“We started in September 1979, and by Christmas things were pretty much up and running…The key to the success of the shop is to keep the customers coming back.” Mrs Duffy said, “This has been a family run business since the start, and we find local people are very loyal to us. We have been here so long that we now get second and third generations of customers coming in. Guys who came into us as young lads from St Joseph’s School are now married and their sons and daughters are getting bikes.”
