Unknown mountain sights near Dublin

Ireland is known around the world for being one green flat land in the eastern side of the Atlantic Ocean. But it’s much more than that. Although most of the country is quite flat, there are are some mountain ranges around Ireland. Most of them are on the west side of country, but there is one mountain range near Dublin: Wicklow Mountain. The tallest mountain here doesn’t surpass the 1000 meters, with the tallest mountain in this range being Lugnaquilla, 925 meters high.

Most of the people outside Ireland don’t even know that these mountain exist, and Dublin authorities aren’t really to keen to promote this area. We don’t know the reasons, but I personally didn’t saw any promotional posters around the city.

Good thing that I found some people interested in trekking around area in a pub in Dublin and they got me some info about it. Apparently, it’s not so hard to go around these mountains.

The mountain have low slopes, you can easily go for a walking holiday in Ireland and enjoy the view. You don’t have to be extremely strong or a mountain man to go around and see the Irish countryside. You just need to go around and explore the area.

However, if you want to enjoy the best views and get the best experience, I would recommend get you a guided tour of Ireland mountains, especially if you want to get some good shots of the area. People that walked these mountains know the best areas to visit and walk and can help you have a nicer trip around.

Walking Tours in Ireland are becoming quite popular in the area, I’ve seen a lot of american tourists that come here just to enjoy the weather and the green of mountains, the get their batteries recharged after a stressful period. I guess it depends on the person, but if you are into walking and trekking in Ireland, find a good guide to help you discover the mountains near Dublin. Maybe you’ll recharge your batteries as well.
